Housewarming's over!

We invited friends and colleagues over last weekend to chill out at our place. Chill might not be a very appropriate word but that we our intention. Our humble home had little for our guest to remark on cause basically, we didn't do much for our home. We tried to keep everything minimal and make cleaning as idiot proof as possible. Our toilet demanded little of my attention despite people telling me washing toilet is a task, blah blah blah. The thing that created more task for me was the floor, but we soon found out that as long as we feet our feet clean and dry, we have a very nice home. This certainly trained us to keep hygiene at the maximum level.

We got back the same caterer though I was tempted to go for purple sage. I so like their nice deco. Being the pratical us, we went for select catering, the same co which catered for our wedding. We were somewhat disappointed cause the rice harderned over time. Bad choice. Should have stuck to the standard bee hoon. Nevermind. We learn something new.

I even had some spare time to pop by Jinyu's new place that's about 70% done up. Can't wait to see her new place. I bet it's going to be a struck contrast from mine cause I'm going for a white theme and she has chosen the black theme.

We invited 2 new "friends" over to make our new place more like a home. Presenting the steam iron and the oven!

Christmas is around the corner

Ho Ho Ho, Christmas is around the corner. Feeling very festive, but the idea of having to go work everyday bogs me down. I'm yearning for the days when I can wake up at 10am, slack till noon. have brunch, watch vcd and sleep. Heavens. Nevertheless, we tried to inject some festive mood by having a Christmas tree, (which I dun really like) and little socks to fill pressies with.

Finally, those hours put into creating our HOME has finally put off. We've got a (rather) decent kitchen. Whether we cook or not is not really an issue okie. We've brought in 2 new friends into our home, meet the washer and the dryer. I'm impressed with the dryer which seems to clean out more dirt than the washer. I'm feeling a bit wasteful that we gave away the previous washer which was with us for barely 2 months.

We've (dear) plugged in almost everything for our TV Console area. No points for guessing where's the fax machine and copier. I've added a little cushion to make my corner more cozy too.

Meanwhile, we'll try to clean the house in time for housewarming this weekend!
