Wet works commencing

We spent Saturday afternoon analysing how the tiles should be laid. I never knew that tiling can be such a chore. A little shift here will affect the other places... It's like doing graph work in real life context. You have to decide, then they'll draw lines on the floor and then you see where the tiles end and whether you can accept it. Tedious.....

Tiles will be delivered on Mon and tiling work will commence on Tue. Estimated to take 2 weeks and by then, the aircon will be in. We'll have to decide on the colour theme soon. A visit to the paint specialist seems unavoidable. Wanted to have the wash and wear paint but seems that it's more likley to have patchy effect. Sigh

Hacking completed, electrical works done!

i'm tired... dead tired. but i'm writing this entry cause I'm too tired to bathe. Visited home today, not expecting any work to be done, but we were plesantly surprised that they have completed hacking and even the electrical works have been completed. Dear wasn't very impressed with the electrical works after we visited our neighbour who even had her aircon pipes boxed up. (PS: Dear is obsessed with pipes and electrical wiring being shown. ) Took some photos which we'll upload once I feel more energetic.

Will be finalising tiles this weekend so that they can proceed with flooring and it's time to start confirming the carpentary. Still can't decide whether i want to have the feature wall and the shoe rack together. Sigh....
Will try to arrange for aircon to be up on Monday once we clear with Henry. Things are moving.... yeash!

Uneven flooring. Irritating.

Contractor discovered that our unit has quite a serious problem of uneven flooring. HDB met up with Hubby and contractor today. Apparently the height difference btw our foyer and kitchen is abt 1.5". We can choose to either choose to have a kerb at the kitchen area or foyer area. We also complained that the walls are slanted. Really pissed with HDB. Apparently this seems to be a general problem for the punggol flats cause the HDB person was busy running from home to home. Anyway, hacking will start next week. Will be meeting electrician to firm on the electrical works tomorow. Feeling extremely tired. Night
